| 2005_U_23 Resolution to ratify 12 point denuclearisation plan for Iran | ||
| Iran continues to remain as state isolated in world diplomatic terms. It is a vastly wealthy government from export revenues and continues to deny its citizens the benefits and wealth that the nation possesses. Like the corrut monarchy which was overthrown thirty years before, the religious centric government remains unaccountable to its people and unaffected by their hubris. | ||
| In recent years, Iran has undertaken a rapid and vast nuclear weapons program. Given the lack of moral accountability the government has shown to its own people, the world community has rightfully become alarmed at this program. | ||
| Many peace and treaty suggestions along with sanctions threats have been tried and all have failed. Increasingly, the only likely option has lumbered towards a military offensive one. | ||
| Such action would be a huge political and humanitarian mistake on both parts. In the case of the current government hierarchy of Iran, it would almost certainly hasten their departure and demise with their legacy only being evil and destruction. But to the West it would also signal a further escalation of violence and the potential for widespread global guerilla terrorist acts including potentially nuclear. | ||
| As such scenarios are too horrible to even contemplate, the world must come up with a better solution in addressing the isolated and unaccountable members of the government of Iran. | ||
| 1. Matters concerning the faith of Islam | ||
| In the first instance, the government of Iran are not illiterate or incapable of observing external events. The heralding of the One Islam, the entrance of Mecca on equal footing with Rome and the sovereign state of Jerusalem are all dreams that the religious leaders of Iran have only hoped would one day come true. | ||
| But with such great dreams also comes the direct call to these leaders from places they hold most sacred that cannot be mistaken- they must stand up and be accountable and rejoin the family of nations by ceasing their weapons programs. | ||
| Unlike previous requests and threats, this call comes from the same place that brings the family of Islam together as one under a new covenant as well as delivers New Jerusalem and the fulfilment of every major Islamic prophecy. That authority is much more difficult to question and ignore. | ||
| If it then be so that the leaders of Iran then continue to ignore this call, then it is the duty of every faithful person of Islam that lives within Iran to rise up against those tyrants and heretics and restore the leadership to true followers of the faith of Islam. | ||
